Google Gmail gets offline interface.

gmail offline Google Gmail gets offline interface.Recently Google has launched its experimental ability to read, write, and search Gmail messages even while not connected to the network. Offline Gmail feature can stores a copy of user’s inbox on his personal computer which are accessible even if you are not connected to internet.  You will have to install it by following a process which is described by Google also if you are using Google Chrome web browser then you it inbuilt into your browser. Once you installed it, offline access is enabled, the software automatically detects your network connection, if its good, Gmail works as usual and if not it goes into offline mode, sending unsent messages and retrieving new ones when the network connection is restored.  You also have a intermediate option if your network is dodgy, its “flaky connection mode,” for example, it queues a message to be sent immediately by storing it to the hard drive then actually sends it once its ready with good network connection. If you enabled this feature, Gmail will start downloading all emails in the background, a copy of a user’s archive to the user’s personal computer. Make sure this new feature can stores about 10,000 e-mails, so if you are getting thousands of emails daily then you would not get complete archive for your mails.
You must  have been impressed by this new feature but there are few limits for using this service. You cant mange email list or cant add new address while you are offline. Though you have working autocomplete option so that you don’t have to remember email addresses.

Finally official statement from Google about this new feature :
Offline Gmail is still an early experimental feature, so don’t be surprised if you run into some kinks that haven’t been completely ironed out yet
