It’s a bit boring task for getting detailed information on particular product on Wikipedia as you may only get text data which may not be sufficient as you will have to search google for getting images, videos related for that particular product. A very helpful service popularly know as Navify ( beta version ) has been launched recently to over come such problem. It’s a great utility which has enrich Wikipedia experience by adding pictures, videos and user comments for each articles you are browsing. Using Navify when you search for “Sony Rolly” you will not only get original Wikipedia text but also many related pictures, even videos which are usually pulled from Flickr and YouTube.
If you use Look up “Pulp Fiction” you can retrieve the Wikipedia article along with screenshots, covers, posters and trailers from the movie. This site is based upon Wikipedia’s platform having a special complementary media & discussion layer. Aslike Wikipedia, you can edits anonymously that mean anyone can edit the data, images and videos associated with any article without registering an account.
According to Navify CEO Alan Rutledge “If people around the world can help each other by building a free collaborative encyclopedia, couldn’t we make it more useful for everyone by illustrating it together?”
Navify has a threaded comment system that will allows visitors to discuss on around 3 million articles in the English database.
Thus just like Wikipedia, Navify appeals to a very broad target audience, it looks like just the right online source for people who are bloggers, journalists, scientists, students etc. who always search for information and data related to a certain topic under a single roof.
