Spam is technically defined as an electronic message as any unsolicited e-mail messages sent or posted as a part of a larger collection of messages, all having substantially identical content. You can consider a real spam as a e-mail advertising for some product sent to a mailing list or newsgroup. Such unwanted emails eats up a lot of network bandwidth and can waste our precious time. Thus to overcome this problem you can follow few steps. If your hosting account is setup on cpanel hosting server the you would be getting cPanel as your webhosting control panel using which you can prevent such spam emails through use of “Default Address” option.
By default all your unrouted emails are received in your main users inbox.
So you can avoid it by adding the following line in your cpanel >> mail >> default address option
• :fail: no such address, in this option
Second way you can also prevent spam emails using email filtering option
Cpanel >> Email Filtering >> add filter
In this section you need to use your own filtering techniques like filter spam emails with specific subject, email address, contents, message ID etc. using above two methods you can prevent spam emails flooding your mailbox.
