When it comes for selecting screen for your laptop, you have two choices Glossy screen laptops and Matte screen laptops, it becomes difficult to decide which screen is most perfect for you. Both screen types have their prob and cons.
A Glossy screen laptop have a reflective coating underneath the screen. Due to this reflective nature you get higher degrees of brightness and contrast for your laptop screen. You also have good color depth on glossy screen thus this type of laptops are preferred by many webmasters. However, due to reflective nature of glossy screen laptops its screen may get polluted from other high intensity light sources which can cause eye strain. There are issues where some manufacturers have used glossy displays to hide use of cheap LCDs, actually a glossy displays can hide many, but not all weaknesses in substandard LCD screens. Thus you can see most cheaper laptops have glossy screens as a standard so that they can cut down manufacturing cost. Usually you will have Fingerprints and smudges shown up on glossy screen laptops which doesn’t looks good.
Your other option is Matte screen laptops which lower, diffusing contrast ratio which are good and don’t have glare issue, you can use matte screen laptops even in bright light, you wont have any glare issue using it. You don’t have to worry about cleaning your fingerprints and smudges as they are barely noticeable on matte screens. Thus matte screened laptops are better then those with glossy screens.
