Computer system with 100GB storage space is not a big deal today, you can easily get such harddrive for much lower cost. As technology is improving day-by-day storage cost is getting lower, you can get storage devices with huge capacity at much cheaper cost. Recently Seagate launched its latest harddrive with storage capacity of 1.5TB surely which is more then sufficient for any comp users. You can store large sized movies, your favorite tv shows, music/mp3 files, all your photo library without worrying about your diskspace usage. If you are looking for installing multiple operating systems for testing applications on your standalone PC you can easily do so using vmware or other softwares as you have much more diskspace available at your disposal.
Few months ago Hitachi had launched first terabyte harddrive Deskstar 7K1000 now its Seagate with its launc of Barracuda 7200.11 1.5TB. Thus you more then enough diskspace for your video/images files and can store millions of them.
